Step Up Your Marketing Efforts for Big Results

Did your business have a successful year last year?  If it wasn’t, or if you’d like to do better this year, maybe it’s time to look at increasing your marketing efforts this year.

One of the best ways to increase revenue is of course to generate leads and convert those leads into sales. If you have a sales team (or perhaps you are the sales team), are you properly
supporting the sales effort by generating qualified leads through marketing?

It is important to keep your company’s name in front of your target audience at all times
throughout the year. Don’t just rely on attending networking events or making cold calls. There
are so many ways you can do this:

1) Direct mail: Send a postcard with a special offer or coupon to your prospect or
customer list.
2) Email newsletter: Write a few articles or tips and send it out to your contacts (with a link
to your website, of course!)
3) Traditional or online advertising: Find the website, magazine, trade organization or
location where your target audience will most likely be and advertise there.

These are just a few examples. The important thing is to market on a consistent basis to build
long-term brand awareness. Every time your customers and prospects see your name, it is one
more reminder of who you are, what you offer, and how you can benefit them. When they’re
finally ready to buy, who will they think to call first? Not you — if you haven’t marketed yourself!
